Works for You

Running for the open seat representing Warroad & Lake Township

With the opening of a new seat in our district, strong representation is important for our area—including experience with budgets, the issues important to our area, and a commitment to advocating for the people of Roseau County. I have spent a good portion of my career working on behalf of northwest and rural Minnesota, and I would be honored to represent you as your next county commissioner.

Experience that gets things done

I have championed rural issues at the State Capitol, because I care about our area. From broadband to agriculture to small business owners, I have made sure Greater Minnesota has a voice, and I’ve gone to bat for folks because it’s the right thing to do.

Because of my previous experience, I have been able to help our community in the last couple of years, including:

  • Helped push back on outside interests whose proposed plans would impact our area—from homeowners, to businesses, to farmers, to ATV rec riders, to daily commuters. The every day lives of EVERYONE would be negatively affected.

Looking forward, I will be able to step into the job and know the drill right away.

Committed to Community

I love our community and support the organizations and people that strengthen us—from veterans to kids to the arts. Thank you to everyone who has made our area a great place to live, work, and raise a family.

Rooted for Four Generations

Many of you may know me from my time at the Pioneer newspaper, years advocating for rural Minnesota, or my current position in Warroad; however, I’m very proud of the public service and entrepreneurial work my family has produced here over the last four generations. My deep family roots are what inspired me to work so hard on behalf of Northwest Minnesota over the years.

Responsive.
Reliable.
Ready to Serve.

The job of a county commissioner is much more than a title or attending a few meetings. It requires dedication and daily responsiveness to resident needs. It means responsibility and oversight over the entire county budget—from transportation to veterans to social services. It also takes backbone to stand up for what’s right—even when it seems impossible.

I have the experience and commitment to our people—It would be an honor to serve you!

Thank you for your vote on Tuesday, Nov.3!
